Local-first by design

Doculigent, the desktop application, records your screen and camera locally. Transcription (including speaker separation) and AI summaries are generated on-device. Nothing about a recording is sent anywhere unless you explicitly create a share link — recording, storage, and processing stay on your machine by default.

What we collect when you share a recording

When you choose to create a share link, the recording (and its transcript and summary) is uploaded so the link can be played back. Free-tier share links auto-delete after 24 hours; links on paid plans are persistent until you delete them. Only people with the link can view a shared recording.

What this website collects

This marketing and account website (doculigent.com) collects:

• Contact form submissions — the name, email address, and message you submit on the Contact Us page, used only to respond to you.
• Account information — if you create an account, the details you provide to sign in (e.g. email address).
• Basic technical data — standard web server logs (such as IP address and browser type) generated by hosting and infrastructure providers, used for security and reliability.

We do not sell your personal information.

Third-party infrastructure

Downloads are served from GitHub Releases. The website and account features run on third-party hosting and infrastructure providers to operate reliably — these providers process data only as needed to run the service, not for their own purposes.

Your choices

You can delete a share link at any time on a paid plan; free-tier links expire automatically. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you (such as contact form submissions or account details), reach out via the Contact Us page.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Doculigent after a change means you accept the updated policy.
